It doesn’t seem so bad after all. On the surface, it’s halfway okay. At the same time, you don’t have to look too closely to see the damage. The surface is simply scratched, perhaps even a little more than that. And as a result, the essentials fade into the background. It is not a development process per se. It is the hallmark of improper handling, or misguided handling. It doesn’t need glossing over or subsequent correction. It does not need cleansing or covering up. What it really needs is a different approach, a general rethink.
