ON-WALL PHOTOGRAPHY

Die on-wall photography ist ein bildgebendes Verfahren, das ich mit meiner eigenen Formel (weiter)entwickelt habe. Eine Fotografie wird dabei, ähnlich der Seccomalerei, an einer geeigneten Wand aufgebracht (es sind auch andere Untergründe möglich). Dies geschieht in einem analogen Entwicklungsverfahren. Dadurch wird das Bild ein Teil der Wand und gleichzeitig die Wand ein Teil des Bildes. So wie Fotografien im analogen Vergrößerungsverfahren von einem Negativ auf ein lichtsensibilisiertes Papier ausbelichtet werden, wird hierbei ein Negativ auf einen dementsprechend aufbereiteten Bereich belichtet und dort anschließend entwickelt und fixiert. Der jeweilige Untergrund fungiert als Basis, d.h. kein Papier, keine Leinwand oder dergleichen wird bedruckt, stattdessen passiert der gesamte Vorgang direkt an der Wand (oder dem jeweiligen Bereich). Dieses Edeldruckverfahren geschieht in Handarbeit, ist gegen UV-Licht und äußere Einwirkungen geschützt und hat Archivqualität. Abhängig von der Umgebung, indoor oder outdoor, beläuft sich die Haltbarkeit von Jahren bis hin zu Jahrhunderten. Diese seltene, künstlerische Ausdrucksform, lässt durch ihre Herangehensweise und das Miteinbeziehen des Untergrundes ein Unikat entstehen. Zudem verwende ich größtenteils biologisch abbaubare Chemikalien, da mir ein nachhaltiges Arbeiten im künstlerischen Bereich wichtig ist.

The on-wall photography is an imaging process that I (further) developed with my own formula. Like Secco painting, a photograph is attached to a suitable wall (other surfaces are also possible). This is done in an analogue development process. This makes the picture part of the wall and at the same time the wall becomes part of the picture. Just as photographs are exposed from a negative onto light-sensitized paper - using the analogue enlargement process - a negative is exposed onto a correspondingly prepared area and then developed and fixed there. The respective subsurface acts as a basis, i.e. no paper, no canvas or the like is printed, instead the entire process happens directly on the wall (or the respective area). This high-quality printing process is done by hand, is protected against UV light and external influences and has archive quality. Depending on the environment, indoor or outdoor, the durability can range from years to centuries. This rare, artistic form of expression creates a unique specimen through its approach and the inclusion of the underground. I also use mostly biodegradable chemicals, as sustainable work in the artistic field is important to me.
