rethink

It doesn't seem that bad after all. On the surface, it's halfway okay. But at the same time, you don't have to look very closely to discover the damage. The surface is quite simply scratched, maybe even a little more than that. And the essential recedes into the background. It is per se not a process of development. It is the signature of mishandling, resp. misguided handling. It does not need to be glossed over or corrected afterwards. It does not need cleaning or covering. What is really needed is a different approach, a general rethink.

Es scheint doch nicht so schlimm. Oberflächlich betrachtet ist es halbwegs in Ordnung. Gleichzeitig muss man aber gar nicht so genau hinsehen, um die Beschädigungen zu entdecken. Die Oberfläche ist schlicht und einfach angekratzt, vielleicht sogar etwas mehr als das. Und das Wesentliche tritt dadurch in den Hintergrund. Es ist per se kein Entwicklungsprozess. Es ist die Handschrift eines unsachgemäßen Umgangs, bzw. eine fehlgeleitete Handhabung. Es braucht keine Beschönigung und auch keine nachträgliche Korrektur. Es braucht keine Reinigung und kein Verdecken. Was es wirklich braucht, ist eine andere Herangehensweise, ein generelles Überdenken.
