photography and visual art

an attitude to reality

The painful melody of melancholy underlines the prolonged waiting with life-sustaining measures of this slide film. It was only just able to celebrate its 20th anniversary before it was put on the wheel by a photographer in a difficult mood. The development itself was not as it should have been – here, too, the film was screwed, or more precisely, crosstied. Some would also call the imaging process inadequate, as it was not carried out in an analogue process as intended, but digitally transferred to paper. And not in a small laboratory, with a modestly smiling gentleman, but by a faceless international company with countless branches from south to north. Breaking taboos, inadequacies. A suffering in the world.

Technique: expired 35mm slide film (cross development), C-Print (29,5×19,5cm), Passepartout with aluminium frame (40x30cm), glass cutter (the glass of one of the pictures is – intentionally – cracked), signed by hand and limited
